Mov2VidGame Review -- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (PC)

Movies To Video Games Reviews Review #10 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the Personal Computer (PC) is fully reviewed and analyzed as compared to the actual movie itself. Feel free to comment. More movies to video games reviews coming soon.. suggestions and feedback welcome and encouraged. In the means of saving space the score tallies used to get to the final score are listed here instead of in the review itself.They are on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the best score possible: Story Accuracy to the Movie 3.5 (Has flavors of the movie at points. Some of the cutscenes will have moments and comments from the movie and the voices of the characters are from the movie as well. But the game takes too many liberties on the story doing things that just didn't happen and adding moments that just werne't in the movie or book.) Music Soundtrack Accuracy to the Movie's 1.0 (None of the songs were from the movie and what's worse is they don't even sound like something that you would have found in the movie. Most of the times you will hear soundtracks in games that at least try to sound right. This game didn't even try that.) Game Difficulty 2.0 (There is really only one hard stage in the whole game and even that is easy to beat after awhile. The rest of the game is simple and a joke even for kids. The whole game can be completed in an hour or two.) Overall Fun 2.0 (It may be fun the first time through. After that though it is a game you probably won't be picking up again ever. With only 10 levels and just simple mini games there isn't much fun to be had. Clicking a mouse here and there a few times is as dull as it sounds.) Final Score: 1.75 Very Bad

@LAKSDJFLASKJF Yes it is a remake from the first movie that came out in the 70's. Gene Wilder played Wonka in that version. And this movie and the 70's movie were both based on the book.	TaylorKazarian

I played both the console version (PS2 and Gamecube) and the GameBoy Advance versions. Both seemed pretty good, though the GBA version was a bit easier to complete. I'm still going through the end of the 'rescue Veruca Salt' level on the GC game. Nice to see this review. I was wondering if the PC version was worth it or not. The animation really looks stiff. Plus, the mini-game format really looks lame.	uruseiranma
