| The point of Holden describing his experience is in fact that he can. At the beginning no one could listen to him but at the end he has spent half a day telling us about what hes done. The point is no one would listen but he has made us listen. I think that John suggested looking at the Holden in the story and the one talking to us as separate characters. | MistyMikoK |
