@pupbenny Yeah, I mean, they gave us this new thing, almost a new sub-line, a Human-Time Lord Meta-Crisis, and he's living with Rose, one of the most memorable companions (to me). They can't just throw that entire universe away. Also, just because he changes doesn't mean he forgets his old life. He dies, but he's reborn, it's going to be a new world with new people, but that doesn't mean the previous people die. There's always going to be that little blue box, and I know they have to find him ;)	SempreMusicaAmoroso
I'm just going to repeat what everyone else has said, pretty much; My favourite Doctor is, and always will be David, because I've grown up with him. It makes me really sad that he's not the Doctor anymore, but I'm intruiged to find out how Matt will do. I have faith in him - he gives the feel of both Tennant and Eccleston mixed with the older Doctors, somehow... :D Good luck to Matt Smith, and to David Tennant on future projects!	YamiAkimotoMayu

@degubamboo. Well it's possible he might return! There's the parralel doctor and rose. I doubt they'll return but in 3 years it's an anniversery of when doctor who started and on the classic doctor who they done a special episode featuring more than one doctor! They done that on the anniverserys sometimes! Mabe they'll do a three doctors with 11 10 and 9 or a 4 doctos with perhaps the 11 9 10 and 8 or something like that!	pupbenny

David decided to leave along with the showrunner, Russell T. Davies. It's a shame, but from all of his interviews, it seems like it was an amicable split. I agree that it's a damn shame, though. David is so talented and I loved watching him as the Doctor. It's going to be hard watching someone else when I think David is the best incarnation of the Doctor - and I say that having seen some of the older doctors in action on re-runs.	beautifulporcelain
@WackdProductions I've not seen much of the new series, but even going back to the original, there have been hashy ways of explaining away 13+ regenerations. Deus ex machina will happen, expect it. But the talented actors who have all played the Doctor are, by and large, dedicated to their craft. They wouldn't want to be typecast, for fear that it would make them less attractive for other roles. Not too much of a problem, really; even Tom Baker has done other stuff since 1981, successfully.	eksortso

Because I'm of the mind that each Doctor should stay on for as long as possible...he's only got three lives left, counting Matt, and if Matt disappears too quickly...look, I just want to put off the time when we need some dues ex machina explaining how the Doctor regenerates into 14 as far away as possible. Not really, the "Doctor Who" series have to end at some point right? A good way to end it is that he regress into a child and then to a baby, and so on. Cuz so far, the pattern im seeing is that teh doctors are getting younger and younger	lilMK94
