BALCONYTV.COM 26/08/2008 PRESENTED BY TOM MILLETT B & The Honeyboys are a bluesy, funky, R&B outfit formed in early 2006 by Kieran McEvoy (aka K.J. Mac) and Aileen Mythen(B). Sharing a love of Blues and all things related, the two, both involved in other projects and activities originally formed the band as an outlet for playing Blues standards in bars and clubs. Since then B & The Honeyboys have become a more serious concern and have recently recorded an album of original songs, written by B and K.J. B & The Honeyboys are currently touring the country and promoting their recently released album. Mixing their aforementioned love of Blues with funk, Rock n' Roll and even Gospel influences, their songs inject a freshness and vitality into the Blues/Roots genre, sounding at once traditional and contemporary.
