Bush was pressured into both of those retractions by outside forces. Don Rumsfeld was a good S.o.D., even though his plan in Iraq was flawed and was only removed because of political pressure from the left, and as for Iraq...well, I guess pointing out the obvious that Saddam decided to threaten the U.S. is a moot point to you people.
