*Each Video Has different Links* This is part of a series of tutorials on digital dj'ing just to cover the basics. It will probably leave you with more questions but I hope that it covers the basics and also includes useful links to various other pieces of equipment, software and videos that will also help. I will try my best to answer questions posted and any suggestions you may have for tutorials are gratefully received. | This may be a ridiculously stupid question so bear with me. Am I going to need to get a sound card for my computer to support a digital turntable? I heard you say that you bought one with the turntable so should I assume that it's a necessity? | andrewgatz |
| Great talking. Im a complete noob an new in dj'ing, but im thinkking about buying reloop digital jockey interface edition, with the software traktor. I heard it was good for beginners :). Awesome dude! | tsanimatores |
| Excellent talking points from a fellow digital dj... | MrTerabyte007 |

| possibly the most interesting way of approaching the concept of digital djing. great job. big fan now hehe | flacayox |
| great points man two thumbs up technology should be pushing music forwards and theres no reason for people to be reluctant, they should embrace it | schemes16 |
| doesnt matter wich gear you use real djs dont auto beatmatch unless they are doing very complex mixes live but letting themachine do the work is cheating you might as well put a mix cd on and pretend dj ing is and should be a hands on performance and it doesnt matter if it vinyl cd timecodes or midi decks i have hybrids take alook at dj yoda he uses high tech gear but does not let the machine beat match for him unless he is busy coz he mixes video and music and uses effects | daniellekingdjk |
| very interesting video! 5* | Xenoon007 |
| Cheers loads for this mate! I'm only just starting to look at beginning some hobby DJing. This is a massive help :) | SirFlashington |

| cheers dude:) | jeremyelrick |
| It's pretty nice, yeah. Google "sync two computers midi" (without the quotes) for a bunch of detailed instructions on doing exactly this. By the way, Jeremy, I really dig what you're doing. Found you through the DJTT competition. Your setup is incredibly elegant. | JohnHoldun |
| ohh great!! :) | francisco609 |
| If both DJs are digital, their MIDI clocks can be synced very easily with just a cable between their computers. If only one is digital and using, say, Ableton, matching tempo is as simple as tapping a specified button to the beat. | JohnHoldun |
| Really good vid!! Good talking points! | twrea |
| cheers b | jeremyelrick |
| Nice post, congrats. | davehikah |
| Good Point;) | jeremyelrick |
| Another Dissadvantage might occur when playing after someone else...Beatmatching is needed to adjust your tempo to the other DJ´s Set Tempo | francisco609 |
