Not nearly as fucked up as North Vietnamese and Viet Cong did.. Did US and the other 15 countries fighting for South Vietnam lose in the end? Yes, politically. Did US lose militarily? hell no. They won practically every battle. And that's fighting a real army supplied with Soviet weapons and an expert guerrilla warfare insurgency the Viet Cong. In my opinion, the only helpful US Army elements were the SpecialForces and the advisors. They were the only ones that truthfully aware of of the war and understood its cause. The rest was like having a 6 month field trip or something...	MrCOPBIEN
4) Gerald Ford: for ignoring the secret agreement between Nixon Admin. and SouthVN. South was left with no supply while fighting the North who received tons of supply from USSR. Seriously, the US gorv. could have secretly channeled supplies through SouthKorea or Japan if they wanted to avoid Anti-war protests (Like they did w/ Isreal, to avoid protests from Arab countries). 3)R. Nixon: for his Vietnamization. The name of his policy is an insult to SouthVNese soldiers. it couter-effect the whole propaganda in South at the time. Now everyone thought the war was between VNese and Americans. He also forced the South to sign the Paris treaty promising future support if North attacks again. Oh well...Nixon gave SVN tons of craps that we could not use. Why sent F15s when we needed M16 ammo instead. Why sent WW2 craps when we needed spare parts for our current weapons.	MrCOPBIEN

Every misinformed person who still thinks America lost the Viet Nam war, get an education. To this day, it's ridiculous, and incomprehendable why the politicians decided to withdraw a winning army, but that is politics, to me it was nothing short of treason. The facts are these, that the backbone of the Communists was broken after they've lost their major Tet offensive in 1968, their very last hope was gone.
