In 1977 Bobby Bird attempted to literally buy a friend when he adopted a chimpanzee from a South American zoo. Things did not work out as he'd planned. Bobby Bird is a classic rock star whos been producing rock albums of varying quality since the early 60s. I saw this a while ago as a short film free with a magazine, and have watched it several times since here on the 'tubes. Probably my favourite short film I've ever seen, so strange, so funny and so weirdly touching. Carson Mell is a genius.	HarryPartridge
