I have a couple of questions: What is the purpose of the primaries/caucuses in electing the party nominee if the delegates at the DNC do the same? Is the DNC nomination a formality in preparation of the delegates nominating for the actual presidential election? Also what is the purpose of getting votes from non voteholding territories like Samoa and "Democrats living abroad"?? Thank you to the knowledgeable who reply in advance!	in2ennui

Oh crap this convention is going to be a wild rip roaring affair. I am a Libertarian and totally opposed to fascism, socialism and communism but I will have my eyes glued on this. FYI I am opposed to religions nut jobs dictating law on the right as well to be fair and balanced. Everyone like a good knock down drag out fight. The professor in this video did a excellent job. This convention will be a beacon of Democracy and freedom. A true wonder of free speech in the modern world. That is of course, as long as your views match their views and all differing opinions are kept silent.
